Exact Data
Reviews and Complaints
Doesn't deliver quality data
They sent me two files of junk. Over promise and under-deliver.
took us for $500. Most of the leads either moved out or were deceased. They tried to play the 10% bad lead jargon. Not 1 lead qualified.
I RECOMMEND NOT TO WASTE YOUR TIME. Besides it takes them days to just pull a few records as well. They are very eager to take your money, and then they disappear. I was looking for targeted data, and then I get a list of garbage.
Amazing how they are still in business. Even after complaining about the initial file.
They replace with the same junk. Wasted over 6 days of calling this *** with only 1 pitch.

Over Priced Useless Mailing List
I contacted Exact Data for information on a marketing campaign o was working on for my business. I agreed to a list of 7000 mailing addresses to a certain profile.
I paid $750.00 for the list with the labels. I received the labels however never received the files. The labels where smeared as though they where printed with a very old printer. So the labels where useless.
We hand typed new labels from addresses we could read from the bad labels. Well the amount of returned brochures concerned me. I called Exact Data and nobody returned my calls nor my emails.
Very bad company. I should have done more research on them.

ExactData scam review
News Release For Immediate Release - exactdata.com (ConsumerBase) Scam Revealed! March 20, 2017 - I was looking for a better source for opportunity buyer leads and also job seeker leads.
I contacted Exact Data and was told they have a good in-house opportunity buyers list with demographic selects available and they also has job seekers in house too. So, I made the purchase and did my tests. Guess what... NO RESULTS WHATSOEVER!
I am a 30 year mail order marketing expert. I do test mailings all the time. I know what kind of response I get on a good list. I even know what kind of response I get on a bad list.
I am usually not unhappy with “bad” results. It happens. But the key here is... at least “bad” results are some kind of results.
The list is total junk if you get no results at all! What they did was pull the old bait and switch routine on me. They told me they were selling me one thing and they sold me something else. Let me be more specific...
they own a basic residential list with demographic selects like age, gender, house hold income, etc. What they did was, instead of selling me an opportunity buyers list, they just sold me a simple residential list. The same with the job seeker list. WARNING!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Exact Data or ConsumerBase. Their lists are total junk and they will lie like a dog to you before and after the sale. If you try to get a refund afterwards, they will blame it all on you and your offer. Dummy me...
there are a lot of complaints about Exact Data and ConsumerBase on sites like ripoffreport.com and youtube - I should have did a search before I purchased. If you have been scammed by these companies, please contact the FBI internet crimes division and file a report today at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx.

Exact Data rip-off! I purchase some business data from a company called Exact Data. The content of that data was not as represented to me.
Exact Data sells consumer and business data to businesses and individuals. The data was represented to me as being accurate and I paid $750 for the data.
Many, many of the records were duplicates, the contact shown was even close to what I had described, and the data was flat-out wrong in a lot of cases. One would think that a company in the business of selling data would have a clue. I GUESS THEY ARE COUNTING ON PEOPLE USING THEM ONCE, GETTING RIPPED OFF, AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT UNSUSPECTING SOUL.
I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SEARCHING ENDEAVORS.

I've also had a similar problem with the list they gave me. It was 90% inaccurate and just gave me problems at the end with people I had contacted through that list.
We might have even gotten same types of leads for real estate purposes?I was wondering if you could tell me a little more about what kind of list they gave you and if you tried to do something to fix the problem? I'm not sure what I can do, but could use some advice
